On March 20, 2025, in honor of World Oral Health Day, the Oral Health Strategic Office (OHSO), in collaboration with the Chinese Medical Team and Whitedent,
organized a special event at Groupe Scolaire Rusheshe in Masaka Sector, Kicukiro District.
The event was graced by representatives from Masaka Sector as well as the Director General of Masaka Hospital, highlighting the strong partnership between
local authorities and health organizations in promoting better oral health.
The celebration featured an engaging oral health education session delivered to students and teachers. This was followed by intraoral examinations for approximately 100 children and their teachers,
allowing early detection of dental issues and promoting preventive care.
As a gesture of support, over 2,000 oral hygiene kits—including toothbrushes and toothpaste—were distributed to all students of Groupe Scolaire Rusheshe, helping to reinforce daily oral hygiene practices among schoolchildren.
This impactful initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of good oral hygiene and ensure better dental health outcomes for the younger generation.
